Highlights from our May meeting

Guest speaker George Cobb spoke about the Revolutionary War including the events leading up to the Battle of King's Mountain.  

He then entertained with his spirited delivery of Reverend Samuel Doak's sermon and prayer that was given to soldiers prior to the battle.

This was followed by the presentation of the Society's awards.

Jim Lewis(right) received the 2010 President's Award

Doris Pearson received the 2010 Minnix Award
