The Cherokee County Historical Society will be meeting at the Cherokee County Historical Museum on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 10:30AM CT.
Mr. Michael D Wren will be the guest speaker. He will be discussing Cherokee Chief Pathkiller. Mr. Wren is a graduate of Auburn University. He has conducted extensive research relating to Cherokee Indians, genealogy and other related topics. He serves on the Board of Directors for both the Alabama and Georgia Chapters of the Trail of Tears Association.
The Society will be continuing discussions about historical signs to be placed at various locations in the county during 2012.
Refreshments will be served and the public is invited.
